Is Summer Really Over?

I really can't believe how fast this summer has gone by. I am so sad that it is going to be over in 4 days, I feel like there is so much left undone. But, Aubrey is super excited about kindergarten. It will be nice to have her at school with me. We registered her for school last week and she found out that her teacher is going to be Mrs. Faulkner. We took one last trip to San Antonio last week. We stayed on the river, went shopping for school clothes, went to the zoo, and this picture is from the Tower of Americas.

We also tried out Schliterbaun this time. Aubrey loved it!!! We've been taking it pretty easy since I go back to work Friday and Aubrey will have to get back in the swing of things, too. I'm still not in the routine of going to bed at a decent time. So I have been playing around with Piknik some, which I love!!!! Here are a few pictures I did. Hope you enjoy.

BOR-ING!!!!!!

Sooooo, I was informed that my blog is boring because I haven't updated in a while!!!! So here I am in a G/T workshop updating my blog. Things have been pretty dull around the household, but yet somehow busy. Aubrey has started competitive cheer and dance. She loves it!!!!! We will go to competetions, about 5 a year. She is on the Tiny Squad which is made up of 3-5 year olds, and they are so darn cute. They do stunts and everything!!!! Of course for those of you who know Aubrey. She is a base. She is a head taller than all the other girls, including the 1st graders on the next squad up. We have also been working on refinishing bedroom furniture for Aubrey. It was the same set that was my mom's and mine as a little girl. We got it all set up last night. It is a canopy bed and I didn't plan on buying a new comforter set yet. So Aubrey insisted she needed something on the canopy. We used a sheet for the night. She told me she is thinking we should do zebra with hot pink and lime green. She thinks we could even paint the walls zebra. Oma better bring her paint brush she comes to visit. The summer is ending fast. The cousins will be here tomorrow and then we are headed for a short vacation starting Sunday. Enjoy your day!!!!

The Lake

So, we rented a cabin with some friends for the weekend at Lake Brownwood. It was a blast. It was the first time for all the kids to go out in the boat. Aubrey loved tubing. She kept telling her daddy to go faster and go outside the wake. The daddies got a little rough with each other, seeing how many flips they could make each other do when they through them off. The mommies aren't near as young as they think they are either. We rode together and Mike got a little rough. We never got thrown off. But, there are plenty of bruises on our hineys!!!! We were both up in the middle of the night searching in the dark for Advil. The kids did a little night fishing in the dark. Of course they didn't leave their poles in the water long enough to catch anything. They had to keep checking to see if the worm was there. We did have a false alarm. Jace's rod kept twitching on the end so Mike was getting ready to set the hook. But, he soon realized it was around Jace's toe!!!! But, everyone had a great time. Now I just have to convince Mike to buy me a cabin!!!!

Sickness in the Stone Hosehold.

This week has not been a fun one at the Stone household. Aubrey woke up Monday night running a fever, which in turn makes her throw up. So, I called the dr.'s office and they asked if I could wait until Wednesday morning. She wasn't too bad at that point so it wasn't a problem. Boy was that a bad idea. She soon went to throwing up every 30 minutes to an hour and I couldn't get her fever to break. So, I called back to get her in that day. I was told that it was just a stomach virus and there was nothing the could do. I knew there was more to it than just a stomach bug and just kept my appointment for the next morning. And guess what I was right, a mother always knows. The doctor looked in her throat and was not happy. Aubrey had herpengina. She showed me her throat which was covered in blisters. But, I had no idea what herpengina was. All I could think of was herpes and then there is that gina on the end?????? I didn't want to look stupid, so we no more get out of the office and I'm searching for herpengina on my Blackberry. I soon found out it is blisters in the throat. She was pretty down for a couple of days. But, let me tell you she has made a full recovery today, and then some!!!!! She is wearing me out. But, I am definitely glad she is feeling better. Got a busy day tomorrow with our last t-ball game!
